We recognise that our children live in a rapidly changing digital world in which technology is a huge part of everyday life. We aim to equip our children with the skills to express themselves online and become competent and safe users of a range of computer technologies. Our teaching develops confidence in the use of computers and IT and has strong links with maths and DT.
Our computing curriculum is challenging and progressive to ensure children build on previous knowledge. The curriculum is made up of 3 strands; Computer Science, Information Technology and Digital Literacy. Online safety is threaded throughout our curriculum and we provide regular opportunities for children, staff and parents to receive training.
Children receive weekly computing lessons and ICT is used throughout the curriculum to support and enhance learning.

Morpeth Partnership Curriculum Progression Document
We have been working closely with the Morpeth Partnership to produce documentation for each subject area. These documents ensure clear progression and map out the teaching and learning journey your child will take in relation to each specific subject through each phase of their education.
